The Persian cucumbers are constantly a mob scene. Unattended shopping carts are strewn haphazardly across the perimeter of this display, producing a kind of Thunderdome-esque enclosure. In close proximity, retirement-eligible shoppers elbow each other while pawing through the heap of veggies, trying to find some mystery cucumber that is magical. Or in other words, a few dozen magical mystery cucumbers — at 69 cents a lb, one could afford to stock up.
Recognized because of its massive choice of imported items and pricing that is wallet-friendly Super King views base traffic of almost 200,000 clients per week — it could just just take Staples Center 10 nights to achieve that sort of amount.
Launched in Anaheim in 1993, this separate, Armenian-owned company now has eight areas in l. A. And Orange counties.
